The Village at Skyline Pines ("The Village at Skyline Pines," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our staff members who opt in to receive SMS text messages through our internal communications system. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information related to our SMS messaging program.
Information We Collect
When you opt in to our SMS program, we collect:
- Your mobile phone number
- Your opt-in consent and the date/time it was given
- Your communication preferences (staff notifications, two-factor authentication)
- Message delivery status and response data
How We Use SMS Communications
We use your mobile number solely to send:
- Staff operational notifications and alerts
- Team communications relevant to your role
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) security codes for login verification
- Important facility updates affecting staff
Message frequency varies based on operational needs. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for assistance.
Information Sharing & Third Parties
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We may share your information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our SMS system (such as our SMS delivery provider, Twilio), only to the extent necessary to provide those services. These providers are contractually obligated to keep your information secure and confidential and may not use it for any other purpose.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your phone number and consent data are stored securely within our internal systems and access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
Your Rights & Choices
You have the right to:
- Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message
- Request information about the data we hold about you
- Update your phone number or communication preferences by contacting your administrator
Data Retention
We retain your opt-in records and consent information for as long as you are enrolled in the SMS program, and for a reasonable period thereafter as required for legal and compliance purposes. When you opt out, your number will be removed from active messaging lists promptly.
